stumbling around webdev is hard, ignore the fact that i've made this in 2 days. just found out i can use the "defer" attribute in the script tag to make sure that the script is executed after the html is parsed. i can also use the "async" attribute, but eh not sure if there's a difference considering everything is so lightweight already.
